Centre for Culture offers to visit the ongoing Theatre Carnival! We invite you to participate in one of over 100 theatrical events - Komedialna or the play "Sam"! The Old Theatre suggests to see the legendary performance "La Edad de Oro". It has been played all over the world since 2005. For the first time in Poland, Israel Galván - one of the greatest flamenco dancers and choreographers will perform on the stage of the Lublin Old Theatre.
Concerts
Centre for Culture invites to a concert of Jacek Kleyff in the Orkiestra na Zdrowie group (Polish music group performing sung poetry and reggae). The concert will inaugurate this year’s edition of the nationwide Operation Clean River 2020 project. This will be both a musical event and a meeting of friends, supporters and volunteers of the project. During the concert, we will hear the most important songs from the works of Jacek Kleyff and Orkiestra na Zdrowie, including the song “Huśtawka”, that is the official anthem of the Operation Clean River project. The Lublin Philharmonic invites you both to a concert by Szymon and Adam Krzeszowiec and to a choral concert 'Blask fantastyczny'.
Meetings
It is worth meeting Katarzyna Sobańska and Marcel Sławiński, stage designers, in the Cold War, Ida, and In Darkness. The event will be held at the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures. The movie "Cold War" will be shown before the meeting. Whereas, Cafe Nie Wylej offers a meeting with Mikołaj Cichomski. He is not only the author of the blog "Życie w podróży" but also a real travel lover! You will have the opportunity to listen to interesting stories. On the other hand, a lecture by Dr. Mieczysław Kseniak will take place in The Manor of Wincenty Pol. It will cover the subject of "Koryznowie h. Krzyżostrzał, ostatni właściciele Ponikwody – dzieje i losy”. You may also find out what responsible fashion is and where you can buy clothes „Made in Poland” during the tour in the Centre for Culture.
Walks
The weather is getting more and more Springlike! So this weekend, on Friday, we invite you to a walk with the Via Jagiellonica Foundation - "Lublin of the Jagiellonian Union". On Saturday you can go for a walk "Grunwaldzkim szlakiem po Lublinie". The guides will wait at 11.00 in front of the former Bridgettines' Church – nowadays dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary the Victorious at Narutowicz street. And on Sunday it is worth going for a ride around Old and New Czechów with Lublin Bicycle Tour. Every Saturday is a great chance to get to know Lublin from Martin’s City Tours -the meeting point of all tours is inside Pub u Szewca, Grodzka 18 (Old Town), unless it is agreed otherwise with private Guests or organized groups.
Exhibitions
You are able to see the painting exhibition "Luminescencje" by Stanisław Baj in the Centre for Theatre Practices "Gardzienice". Whereas, the exhibition "Form, color, costume" by Zofia de Ines, a Polish stage and costume designer, is being held at the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures.
Workshops
You may learn about the forgotten photography techniques at the workshop "Atelier fotograficzne sprzed 100 lat". And with the Municipal Public Library (branch 29) you will create beautiful dream catchers! Moreover, the Kotwica Foundation invites all ladies to the next workshop meeting. It will be an opportunity to talk and get to know each other better. What is more, Gang Poszukiwaczy Szczęścia organisation offers workshop "Moje Słowo na Rok 2020". Lubartowska 77 encourages to participate in a culinary workshop that will be dominated by a whole bunch of warming spices - gifts of nature.
Sport
Czechów district invites to free football classes for children 7-8 years old. k2LKM basketball players: U! NB AZS UMCS Lublin will face MKS Ochota Warsaw at Hala Globus this Sunday. Do you want to spend time actively and meet interesting people? We invite you to participate in the enrollment for the American football team.
For children
All children are invited to the Lublin Philharmonic to the carnival. On the other hand, there will be workshops, competitions, games and a great carnival ball for the youngest in Skende. Edu Labirint invites you to "Activities on Freedom" - sensory workshops for children aged 3-6. Participants of the workshop along with their caretakers are transferred to sense-stimulating world full of fragrant and colourfully shimmering pulps that are made on the basis of food products, and other materials stimulating the senses.
Fairs
If you are pet lovers, you should visit the Lublin Exhibition and Zoological Fair ZOOPARK 2020 at the Lublin Fair. Exhibitions, shows, workshops and educational activities are waiting for children!
