Spectacles/cinema

Centre for Culture proposes the film "Piranhas". It is based on the best-selling novel "Gomorra" by Roberto Saviano. "Synonyms" is a film by the Israeli director Nadav Lapid. It tells the story of a young Israeli man named Yoav, who wants to leave his past behind and therefore he decides to go to Paris. Unfortunately, the beginnings of a new life do not match his imagination. We cordially invite you to the first half of the movie screening "Ostatnia pieśń Grajka". The second half will be performed by the theatre Golf III and the audience will have an impact on the plot development.

Concerts

We invite you to Węglin District Culture Centre to a concert promoting “Osiecka De Luxe" album. Maja Kleszcz will present the lyrics interpretations of the Polish poet Agnieszka Osiecka. GrubSon's new project is named “Sentymentalnie Tour”. Within few several unique concerts, you will hear a brand new material from all previously released albums in completely new arrangements. This concert, additional instrumentalists will appear on the stage next to GrubSon, e.g. a brass section or string quartet. “Trzecie Ucho” music is a series of meetings consisting of improvised concerts of Tatvamasi group together with European artists. This time, Alex Hand’s musicians were invited to participate in the event.

Exhibitions

We invite you to the pending jubilee exhibition "Z perspektywy lat. Ludzie i wydarzenia" summarizing 40 years of the Museum of Martyrology "Pod Zegarem". The exhibition shows the history of the place. Workshops of Culture invite for an exhibition vernissage PLECIEMY! / WE WEAVE! combined with a display of weaving. It presents basketry in the context of a good design, the use of natural materials, reusing, zero waste, contemporary crafts and the value of manual work. The exhibition also features three interactive stalls apart from boards, products, tools and forms. The next vernissage is Robert Karas' exhibition “Bronowice na zawsze”. It presents photographs of growing up, everyday life and childhood in Stare Bronowice district.

Workshops

This is the last screen printing workshop within the "Renaissance with the Union in the background" project. The participants will create original prints inspired by the Renaissance and the Union of Lublin.

Meetings

The 20th edition of Falkon Festival cannot be missed by all the Fantasy lovers! There will be three days of events where you will analyze the future! And this time “Seryjni Poeci” will meet in Centre for Culture - Dosłowna bookshop invites you to a meeting with Łukasz Kaźmierczak / Łucja Kuttig and Jolanta Nawrot. The Teatrikon Foundation proposes various events and workshops within the project "Zmienianie świata zaczynam od kawy". Workshops will focus mainly on innovative thinking and creating effective notes.

Walks

Via Jagiellonica Foundation invites you to discover the secrets of King Sigismund Augustus’ will. How did it happen that Lublin played an important role in it and what were the reasons for it? You will also learn what Lublin has in common with Wawel tapestries. Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society suggests a walk on Saturday afternoon "Koronkowe Madonny i Skrzydlaci Geniusze – niezwykłe historie wykute w kamieniu". Being in a meditative mood, “Lubelskie spacery z Prusem” invite you to the memories of people associated with the writer. On the other hand, the State Museum at Majdanek invites you to take part in Zaduszki Majdankowskie. It is a recollection of the characters who played a crucial role in the camp life.

Sport

Polish Army will play with Tytani Lublin on Friday in a charity football match at the Athletic stadium. The funds will be collected for a soldier who struggles with cancer disease. On Sunday, we encourage everyone to the 4th tournament of the Amateur Chess League.

For children

Węglin District Culture Centre, within “Dziecinada” project, proposes to visit the workshop "Czacha dymi!". During the joint play important topics will be discussed. The workshop is based on the mindfulness technique (mindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on being intensely aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment). This time children will try to understand the feeling of sadness. In the Andersen Theatre the performance "Bucik Kopciuszka" will be staged. It is an adaptation of a well-known story for the youngest viewers.

Others

On Saturday, Lublin Fair offers carrots as the main product (Lubartowska 77 street). The visitors will be able to taste this vegetable in various forms.
