To celebrate the 99th anniversary of John Cage’s birthday on September 5, an event called „re:Broadcast“ will take place in Lublin at Litewski Square. The broadcast by Polish Radio 2 of John Cage’s piece „Aria (Fontana Mix)“ will be „re-broadcast“ into the city’s main public space via radio receivers brought by Lublin’s residents.
Everyone is invited to take part in the event! Bring your own radio, and if you don’t have one – borrow it from your Grandma and let’s have a listen. We will provide electrical outlets to plug into.
The event will be accompanied by a press conference on the preparations for the John Cage Year organized in 2012 in Lublin to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the artist’s birthday. The conference will take place at Litewski Square at 4.45 pm.
