A touching story of loneliness, lack of sympathy and difficult human relationships. The film takes us to the sinister countryside, where nature is a witness to some tragic events. Alex and his family return to the place of his childhood. We learn about the secrets of the characters’ souls, who, although living together, are extremely lonely. Great acting, hypnotising Bonnevie. Austere cinematography and lingering frames highlight the characters’ alienation and the tragic ending.
