Participants of calligraphy workshops will have an opportunity to make samples of hand-lettered inscriptions, for example, Caroline minuscule, textualis and an initial. During typography workshops they will be introduced to selected methods of printmaking, design their own fonts and manufacture in a chosen method a monogram, visiting or decorative card.
An exhibition devoted to history of writing since its beginning until modern times will work as an illustration for ‘Literateka’. Books from the collection of the Library of the Catholic University in Lublin (KUL) and reproductions of other oldest written texts will be displayed at the exhibition. There will also be shown other types of exhibits - tools and writing materials, printing tools (wax and shale tablets, burin, quills, inkwells, sorts, typewriters, papyrus , various types of paper).
