An unusual journey through time - from the music of the baroque to twentieth-century jazz. The first part of the concert consists of Kennedy's solo performance of selected works by Bach, while the second part is a selection of compositions by Fats Waller arranged by Nigel Kennedy. Fats Waller was an exceptional American jazz pianist and composer, a musical pioneer who lived and worked in the first part of the twentieth century (1904-1943). During the concert, Kennedy will be accompanied by a trio of renowned jazz instrumentalists: guitarist Rolf Bussalb, bassist Yaron Stavi, and drummer Krzysztof Dziedzic.
