Samuel Blaser Trio (CH,FR,DK)

Samuel Blaser – trombone
Marc Ducret – guitar
Peter Bruun – drums

Samuel Blaser – a rising star of improvisation and jazz, considered to be as talented as the most original free jazz trombonist Albert Mangelsdorf. His craft, technique, artistic maturity and musical erudition are highly respected, all the more since the musician is only 29 years old. The creative output of Blaser is often compared to that of Tomasz Stańko, who is the trombonist’s idol. For a number of years, Blaser has been living in New York, where, as he himself confesses, he has found a fertile ground for his talent and the conditions that are equally conducive to the growth of his art.

Marc Ducret – French avant-garde guitar player, whose style is critically acclaimed and considered highly original and equally expressive. He started his professional career at the age of 17. He is an auto-didact, who - thanks to his remarkable ear for music - managed to master the lyre and the double bass. Occasionally, he sang in a rock band and in a folk ensemble. Apart from jazz improvisation, he is actively devoted to New Music and electronic-based sound experiments.

Marc Ducret worked with the following musicians: Tim Berne, David Friedmann, Michel Portal, Joachim Kuhn, Franco Ambrosetti, Didier Lockwood, Eric Barret, Miroslav Vitous, Enrico Rava, Mino Cinelu, Adam Nussbaum, Django Bates, Richard Galliano, David Sanborn, Joey Baron, Bobby Previte, Michel Godard, Louis Sclavis, Herb Robertson, Chris Speed, Anthony Cox, Michael Formanek, Jim Black, Tom Rainer, Daniel Humair, Henri Texier, David Torn, Craig Taborn and many others.

Peter Bruun – is a relatively new name on the Danish jazz scene. Aa a regular member of the Django Bates Trio, he has gained considerable reputation and respect of concert-goers worldwide. Bruun is a cutting-edge drummer, inspiring both fellow band members and listeners.
