The end-of-the-year musical meeting of the admirers of the Lublin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra is a tradition of an over-a-decade standing that is often almost instantly sold out. This year the audience magnet is the favourite of Poland’s concert-goers, a wizard of humour, a brilliant conductor, and a superb cellist - Maciej Niesiołowski. Not just a concert master but also a master of ceremonies who co-operates with the best vocalists. This time he will visit Lublin with the soloists of the Music Theatre in Gliwice, featuring soprano Anita Maszczyk, graduate of the Academy of Music in Katowice who made her debut as a student as Adela in Strauss’ “Revenge of the Bat”, and tenor Michał Musioł, the winner of the First Prize at the Tenor Competition in Kielce in two consecutive years 2005 and 2006.
The concert’s programme includes famous waltzes, marches, polkas as well as the most beautiful operattic arias and duets. You cannot allow yourself to miss this one-off performance.
