BENSHI - Music. Part 1
Kinoteatr Projekt invites all to the launch of its BENSHI Film Discussion Club, which kicks off with the screening of the first movie in the four-film “Music” series.
In accordance with our founding principle, we have decided not to reveal the title of the movie in advance – it is up to the audience to guess it. The film in question was directed by one of the most popular British comedy filmmakers, garnering as many positive reviews as negative ones. The highlights of the movie include its stellar cast, surprising and one of a kind story of the pirate radio anchored at sea off the coast of Great Britain, and a typically Anglo-Saxon sense of humour. What was criticized, however, was lack of a clearly defined plot and a somewhat saccharine storyline. Drawbacks aside, expect to be entranced by the film’s score and vintage soundtrack! David Bowie, The Who, The Kinks, Jimi Hendrix, The Supremes, Cat Stevens, Dusty Springfield, The Isley Brothers, Leonard Cohen, and The Rolling Stones this is a dream come true for all enthusiasts of classic rock music.
