Kinoteatr Projekt invites all to the next installment of its BENSHI Film Discussion Club, which continues with the screening of the second movie in the four-film “Music” series.
We are still immersed in the mood and mores of the 1960s but this time around we are not in the UK but in the USA.
Film: “Walk the line”.
Sometimes music becomes one’s passionate obsession and a ruthlessly possessive rival of everyday life. Often, it provides solace, brings comfort and relief in the times of the deepest trouble, enabling one to do the right thing and choose the best option available. The on-screen life story of country legend Johnny Cash shows a number of problems one has to battle with in order to answer the following life-changing question: how would I like to lead my life?
You do not have to be a fan of country music to have fun watching “Walk the line”. Upon its release, the film was critically acclaimed in the USA, among others Reese Witherspoon was rewarded with an Academy Award. Also, the movie garnered three Golden Globes and a Special Prize at the Camerimage Festival.
