Culinary Workshops: Mr Tofu's Kitchen

Grits, groats, rice, seeds, different types of flour, beans, fresh vegetables and herbs as well as tofu, tempeh and seitan (a high-protein vegetarian food made from cooked wheat gluten) are the staples of vegan kitchen. During the workshops hosted by Mr Tofu, all participants will be given a chance to learn how to make the most of all these ingredients and how to change them into ideal dishes and snacks based exclusively on healthy and ethically sourced (fair trade) plant products.
As part of the workshops you will learn and practise among others:
- how to make vegan burgers
- which condiments and spices to use while preparing vegan dishes
- which tricks to use so as to prevent burgers from disintegration on a frying pan
- what to replace dairy products with
- what is the best substitute for eggs
- which type of fat to use
- how to make your vegan sushi and tofu ideal
