Mariusz Wilk Wilczyński's Animated Films - A Retrospective. The following films will be screened at part of the meeting with the filmmaker: “From the Green Hill” (1999), “Wśród nocnej ciszy” (2000), “Śmierć na 5” (2002), “Niestety” (2004), “Kizi Mizi” (2007). Also, for the first time ever, the trailer to Wilczyński’s upcoming feature-length film “Zabij to i wyjedź z tego miasta” (“Kill It and Leave this Town”) as well as some raw footage from this yet unfinished work will be shown publicly.
The screening will be followed by Q & A with the artist– free online broadcast of the meeting will be available at video.teatrstary

Feel invited to attend Mariusz „Wilk” Wilczyński’s retrospective as well as a meeting with the artist. Wilczyński is one of the most outstanding Polish animated film directors
During the meeting, we will have a chance to watch among others Wilczyński’s shorts, including „From the Green Hill” (1999), „Wśród nocnej ciszy” (2000), „Śmierć na 5” (2002), „Niestety” (2004), „Kizi Mizi” (2007). Also, for the first time ever, the trailer to Wilczyński’s upcoming feature-length film “Zabij to i wyjedź z tego miasta” (“Kill It and Leave this Town”) as well as some raw footage from this yet unfinished work, featuring the score by the late Tadeusz Nalepa, will be shown publicly.

Mariusz „Wilk” Wilczyński – one of Poland’s most outstanding animated film directors, painter and performer.

Wilczyński is renowned for his unique, highly idiosyncratic and surreal narrative style, based on dream logic. He creates his film using an animation technique of his own creation. He taught classic animation at Kunstuniversitat in Linz (2003-2005) and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. Since October 2007 he has been lecturing at the Łódź Film School.
