Jerzy Kosałka is a painter, photographer and performer. He also creates objects, installations, models and open space works. In his early days, he was a member of the Wrocław-based art collective LUXUS. His works make references to well-known works of art, historical politics, everyday reality and Polish stereotypes. The artist uses ready-made objects in new contexts, thus giving them a touch of humour, irony as well as self-ridicule. He is known for converting the CocaCola logo into his signature: CosałCa.
The exhibition presents Kosałka’s most important works, including "Plan bitwy pod Kłobuckiem" (1986), "Naród – Kosałce" (1993), "Polska żółć" (2009), "Mona Lisa, z cyklu Pardon Marcel" (1995) and "Dama bez łasiczki" (2004).
Opening hours: Monday to Saturday, from 12 pm to 6 pm
The exhibition runs until 30 April 2015.
