Frydryk Rudziński graduated from the Fine Arts Department at Maria Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin. He creates works by copperplate engraving, the oldest technique of intaglio printing, where an image is made up of a series of thin lines slowly engraved with a special burin in a copper plate. The technique requires accuracy and drawing skills, and its peculiar rigour has a significant effect on the process of drawing. The exhibition shows both engravings and drawings, so the audience can try to spot the correlation between hand-made drawings and matrix-printed engravings.
