The exhibition presents works by Ukrainian artist Mykola Ridnyi, who lives and works in Kharkiv. In 2008 he graduated from the State Academy of Design and Art in Kharkiv. In his work, the artist uses a variety of media, from collective actions in public space, site-specific installations and sculptures, to short films and essays that are now the main element of his practice. In his reflection on social and political reality, he draws upon the contrast between fragility and endurance, individual people emerging from stories as well as collective history. These two levels intertwine in his artistic projects. The works on display in Galeria Labirynt include video productions, photographs and drawings created by the artist between 2011 and 2017.
The event is part of the project Sezon Lublin.
