A cult crime comedy featuring Eddie Murphy in the role of a lifetime. The actor plays Axel Foley, a cop from Detroit who comes to Los Angeles to find the killers of his friend. In the city, he joins forces with his female friend and two cops from a local unit and together they attempt to destroy the gang of the dangerous Victor Maitland. The film’s strength lies most of all in Murphy’s acting, his comical talent and ability to improvise. All this allowed him to create a character that viewers around the world fell in love with and the movie had two sequels. Moreover, “Beverly Hills Cop” has an outstanding soundtrack featuring many hits of the time and perfectly renders the atmosphere of 1980s California.
