The 6th edition of "Entrepreneurial Kids" project (for students aged 6-10) and the 3rd edition of "Entrepreneurial Youth" (for secondary schools) have been launched. The "Green creative ecospace" competition and a workshop on AI in marketing for young people will add something new and fresh to this current edition. On top of that, registration for the 9th edition of Check IT conference will be opened on February, 19.
"Entrepreneurial Kids" and "Entrepreneurial Youth" projects enter into current educational needs and react to the challenges in the long run. Backing soft skills development and improving active and entrepreneurial attitude among young residents is an extremely important factor of education - says Krzysztof Żuk, Mayor of Lublin.
"Entrepreneurial Kids"
Visits to Lublin companies and meeting with experts of creative industries are fundamental part of the project. It allows them to learn about the economic sense and cost-effective theory. Enrollment for Lublin educational institutions project started on Monday, February 12. Two competitions are planned for educational institutions qualified for the project. The first and well-known, annual competition is "School creative spaces". It is carried out together with the Audiovisual Culture Foundation "Beetle", with a creative space establishment inside the school as a main prize. This year, for the first time, in cooperation with the Department of Greenery and Municipal Economy, the "Green Creative Ecospace" competition will be organised. At the same time, applications are accepted from representatives of Lublin companies doing business in Lublin and representatives of creative industries. Recruitment of partners to participate in the project ends today (February 16).

"Entrepreneurial Youth"
"Entrepreneurial Youth" project 2024, implemented jointly by the City of Lublin and Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, started on February 14. “Entrepreneurial Youth” project is addressed to both students and teachers from Lublin’s secondary schools. Young people will take part in dedicated workshops. Recruitment of participants and partners lasts until February 16. Groups of young people from secondary schools in Lublin (through their teachers), as well as entrepreneurs and institutions conducting business activity in the Lublin Metropolitan Area, including representatives of creative industries from the marketing industry, can apply to the project.

"Check IT conference"
The hybrid event is scheduled for March 5-6 and will be a chance to deepen and broaden the knowledge and interests of students and teachers of primary and secondary schools on new technologies, with particular attention paid to artificial intelligence (AI). The event is organised in close cooperation with Lublin universities, academic circles and IT experts as part of Lublin IT Upland enterprise. Participation in the event is free of charge, but prior registration is required, starting on February 19 at 9.00.
Due to the limited number of places for workshops, participation will be based on the order of applications.
