LUBLIN IS THE FIRST POLISH CITY TO HOLD THE EUROPEAN YOUTH CAPITAL 2023 TITLE!
The European Youth Forum has awarded us this honorable title by recognising the action programme based on European values:

• inclusion in co-deciding about the city,
• equality,
• availability,
• equal rights policy.

This token is both a great honour and an exceptionally significant commitment for us. Lublin strives to be an open and friendly city, identifying the needs and aspirations of young people. A place where, regardless of their origin, ideology, sexual orientation or gender identity young people have their own space, feel like they are at home, are heard and valued.

Action programme of the city of Lublin as the European Youth Capital 2023 focuses on three subject-oriented areas:

• City for the Youth - activities designed by the "city" for young people
• Youth for the City - youth projects / initiatives
• Youth and the City - cooperation and partnership between youth and the "city" when planning and conducting shared projects.

Partnership relations and teamwork are one of the most essential results of the European Youth Capital in Lublin. It is already taking place! Sempre a Frente Foundation, youth organisation, was the originator that came up with the initiative to apply for the title of European Youth Capital 2023. Remarkable success has been achieved due to intergenerational cooperation!

Activities have been planned within all 3 subject-oriented areas: broadly understood participation of young people, support, sport, culture and education in scope of: local, regional, national and European. Surely, this is an open list.

We wish to gather the best ideas for youth policy through networking, partnerships and good practice exchange, enabling:

• equal opportunities for the development of young people
• strengthening their importance in social life
• inclusion in city-forming activities
