Direction Earth/Space organized together with Lubelski Science Festival was full of emotions - all thanks to the special guest Sławosz Uznański @Slawosz Znaski, a new ESA astronaut - European Space Agency.
Sławosz Uznański is a project astronaut of the European Space Agency (ESA) and a Polish scientist who is about to become the second Pole in space! All gathered, we watched an audiovisual celebration - multimedia outdoor projection (video mapping) of Direction Earth/Space disclosing the fascinating world of Earth observations. This captivating moment was an opportunity to admire satellite photos from the Copernicus Programme. The projection was held on the facade of the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in Lublin interpreted artistically by Karolina Panasiuk with stream Auer music.
There was also time for some photos and behind-the-scenes chats. At KUL (John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin) the astronaut shared his story on becoming a European Space Agency project astronaut and about his first weeks of training in preparation for his flight to the International Space Station. The meeting attracted a lot of young people looking for cosmic inspiration.
