European Youth Capital Lublin, specifically the Youth Policy Office, has officially joined the National Youth Employment Coalition at its first nationwide assembly held in Lublin.
We believe that together we can successfully pursue a vision where young people are partners of discussion and projects forwarded by NGOs, local governments and institutions, that, treat them as partners, support their well-being, development and participation in social and civic life according to their needs. We think that structured organisation of youth work at all levels of public administration together with the NGO sector is the key to make this vision happen.
By "youth work," we mean work based on treating young people as partners and supporting them in social and civic development, striving to recognise their full potential. The principles of "youth work" are precisely described in the European Charter on Local Youth Work and are implemented in accordance with the European Youth Goals outlined in the European Youth Strategy Resolution for 2021-2027.
The founding organisations of the Coalition are: EBU Foundation, Sempre a Frente Foundation and Europe4Youth from Krakow. Moreover leading NGOs, local governments, and experts have been invited to join the Coalition, including the City of Lublin, Młody Kraków and the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The Coalition is supported by Monika Horna-Cieślak, the Children's Ombudsman.
