Lecture during "Celebration of two Unions. European Heritage Label - Study Visit in Lublin and Warsaw"
On July 3-4, 2017, in Lublin and Warsaw, an international meeting of representatives of places honored with the European Heritage Label - "Celebration of two Unions. European Heritage Label - Study Visit in Lublin and Warsaw" was held. The organizer of the first day of the meeting was the Office of the Municipal Conservator of Monuments of the City of Lublin, while the second day was organized by the management of the Central Archives of Historical Records in Warsaw.
The conference was held at the Crown Tribunal. After welcoming the guests by Krzysztof Komorski, Deputy Mayor for Culture, Sport and Participation, the "keynote speakers" were spoken by Professor Jūratė Kiaupienė from Vilnius, representing the Lithuanian Historical Institute, with a lecture "The Union of Lublin in the historical and cultural memory of Lithuania" and Professor Ryszard Szczygieł from the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, with a speech entitled "The Union of Lublin of 1569 and its historical significance".
