EUROPEAN SUMMIT OF YOUNGSTERS AGAINST RUMOURS
A selection of young people who have already participated or will participate in local self-reflection and awareness-raising actions will come together in the First European Summit of Youngsters Against Rumours.
The summit is promoted by Project NET-IDEA, coordinated by ICEI within a European Partnership formed by the Spanish & Portuguese Network of Intercultural Cities, a Swedish NGO working on Interculturalism & Anti-Discrimination, the city of Erlangen (Germany) and the city of Lublin (Poland), involving a total of 16 EUROPEAN CITIE from 6 COUNTRIES. NET-IDEA is funded by the European Commission in the framework of the CERV Programme.
The summit will be held and hosted by the city council of LUBLIN (Poland) on 6, 7 & 8 OCTOBER 2023. Lublin is an official partner of NET-IDEA and is currently the European Youth Capital for 2023.
The summit aims to provide and share tools with youngsters committed with promoting the culture of Anti-Rumours & Anti-Discrimination with the idea of:
❖ PROMOTING SELF-REFLECTION & DEBATE ON COMMON CHALLENGES, FOCUSING ON TWO TOPICS THAT WERE DEFINED BY PARTNERS AS PRIORITY: IDENTITY/IES & SENSE OF BELONGING
❖ STREGTENING YOUTH PROTAGONISM & ACTIVISM BY ELABORATING THE FIRST MANIFESTO OF EUROPEAN YOUNGSTERS AGAINST RUMOURS WITH THE AIM OF PROMOTING NEW CITY NARRATIVES FROM AN INTERCULTURAL LENS
❖ PLANTING THE SEEDS FOR THE CREATION OF THE FIRST EUROPEAN NETWORK OF YOUNGSTERS AGAINST RUMOURS

- AGE 18 - 24 YEARS OLD
- ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN 3 DAYS OF TRAINING (MANDATORY PART UNTIL 2:00 PM)
