The Lublin Wieniawski Philharmonic was founded in December 1944. Many eminent conductors (Jerzy Maksymiuk, Krzysztof Penderecki), and soloists (Kevin Kenner, Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Lidia Grychtołówna, Piotr Pławner and others) have performed at Lublin Philharmonic. The Philharmonic is the main music centre in this part of the country.
Its present managing is dr Jan Sęk, principal conductor - Piotr Wijatkowski .
